Originally from Northern Italy, Marco studied architecture at the University of Venice, then switched to fashion design. For many years he worked as a fashion designer for United Colors of Benetton and traveled the world.

Upon moving to California, Marco began exploring its woodlands, deserts, and coastal areas — the fascination with these beautiful landscapes led him to enroll in the Garden Design program at UC Berkeley, while working full-time at Sloat Garden Center in Marin County.

After graduating from Berkeley and with management experience at Sloat, Marco started his own business based in Point Richmond, California: Good Garden Design.
